Week 33: Point Imperium: Queen Gigolo (Point Break, The African Queen, Imperium, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo)

Soundcloud | YouTube | facebook | Twitter |  iTunes | | GooglePlay Stitcher | Google+ | Website |

This Week in Film, Nick & Ray welcome Tony back to the show! After about 10 seconds of that nonsense they start talking about movies.

First up, Ray slams a can of Mountain Dew, and talks the new Point Break.

Next up, Nick goes on a classic adventure in the wilds of Africa with: The African Queen.

Finally, Tony tackles the troubles of race relations and modern society with both Imperium and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.

We read the many terrific responses to last weeks question.

Then we mix it up this week.

2 questions! RaysRayndomRayquest vs Tony’s Third Degree.

Ray wants to know:

What is your favorite action scene in a movie?

Tony fires back with:

Can you name an actor/actress who tried to break away from a typecasted role?

Two questions answer, one question leaves. kind of. not really.

Week 32: Tomahawk HellMaster (Hell or High Water, The Wishmaster, Bone Tomahawk)

Soundcloud | YouTube | facebook | Twitter |  iTunes | | GooglePlay Stitcher | Google+ | Website |

This Week in Film, Nick & Ray say a heartfelt goodbye to Charlie, who is leaving the show for at least a couple months.

After about 15 seconds of that nonsense, they start talking about the movies they watched this week.

First up, Ray goes a bank robbin’ with, Hell or High Water.

Then Charlie starts making dreams come true with, The Wishmaster.

And Nick closes it out with a joyful romp through the old west with the brutally violent: Bone Tomahawk. It only took him 30 weeks to get around to seeing it.

After the movie talk is finished we get to last week’s RaysRayndomRayquest and discuss the great responses we received.

This weeks, RaysRayndomRayquest:

What are your favorite movie brothers?

For example, Casey Affleck and Scott Caan in Oceans 11.

This Week in Film, Nick, Ray, & Charlie are back together again… but for how long?! Who is leaving?! Who will be joining, or maybe rejoining, only one way to find out!

Also, they watched some movies.

This week it’s Straight Outta Compton, Jason BourneLost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley’s Island of Dr. Moreau, The Island of Dr. Moreau, and a little sprinkle of Suicide Squad.

First up, Ray goes back to the early nineties with: Straight Outta Compton.

Next Charlie tries to take down Jason Bourne.

Then we just start talking about Suicide Squad again for a minute.

Finally, Nick suffers ISLAND MADNESS while trying to discuss the nightmare that is Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley’s Island of Dr. Moreau, and the 1996 nightmare it is about. That’s right, a doubler.
